Where DREAMS come ALIVE

I was brimming with excitement when I received the invitation from Alive Museum.

Alive Museum is the original 3D visual illusion museum from South Korea. Spanning over 10,000sqft, it is the largest in Singapore. Decided to check it out on a weekday evening.

My first foray in a 3D museum wohoo! Alive Museum ensures that visitors have a great experience by providing all unique props needed for the picture to come Alive. All I brought was my trusty Samsung Galaxy S4.

Hello from the fridge!

So many celebrities kowtowing to me. I was feeling on top of the world. Do you spot Bruce Lee, Spiderman amongst the group?

I was truly awe inspired by the Museum's interior. The paintings were all flat 2-D paintings. However, the pictures turned to 3D after taking it at the designated Photo Point with the Smart Phone. Alive Museum's in-house talented artists  make use of various painting techniques to make exhibits look alive from a certain perspective.

Preparing for my first appearance into the SEA Games 2015:-P

I love this shot! It was the toughest for me!  I had to pretend to be sitting on the bench and patting the giraffe in my most relaxed self and smile......

  Our romantic boat ride

It was a fun-filled evening, trying out the different poses, somehow got a bit high from all these. I felt like I was back to my teenage days. Apparently 30% of their paintings will be changed every 12-18 months. Special exhibits will be displayed during Christmas and Chinese New Year. I will definitely be back on a regular basis. It is really a refreshing place for a date (especially for us who are married for a decade), a first date will be good too.....with the kiddos....the list is endless. It is a place for everyone!

Come on down to check out Alive Museum now.

Review: Ultra Soothing White Clay Mask from Coast to Coast

It had been a saddening month for me. Face couldn't stop flaking. I went to the doctor to clear up my peeling but it came back again. So thankful to Chris for passing me a jar of Ultra Soothing White Clay Mask from Coast to Coast. I thought why not give it a try? I have always love their products anyway.

Coast to Coasts COASTAL range has been specially formulated with ultra soothing ingredients collected from Australias Coastal regions. Australia is known for heat waves, therefore, it is of utmost importance for Coast to Coast to formulate skincare products  that can protect the skin from the damaging sun rays.

Botanicals such as Tasmanian Sea Kelp, Sea Parsley and Wild Rosella contain anti-oxidant vitamins and skin soothing nutrients to protect against dehydration, UV stress and skin inflammation, making it ideal for skincare protection under the sun or for those who suffer from skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.

Floral notes of Jasmine, Grapefruit, Rosewood and Eucalyptus are delightfully uplifting.

Apply the cream mask liberally over the face and neck avoiding the eyes and mouth. Relax for ten minutes before you rinse off with water.

I opted to use a brush to spread out the cream-based mask evenly. Felt a cooling sensation on the face after application.

Just a mere ten minutes, it was easy. No more laziness babes. Remember there are only lazy girls, no ugly ones.

Result was amazing. Flaking stopped, face did not feel as dry. I was totally sold!

I chose to do my nails for today. Time to give my nails a new set of colour and design. Rita, the Manager for Nail Services suggested Hard Gel manicure. Why?
As explained by Rita, Hard Gel has a layer of protection above your nails. Hence during removal, less harm will be done to your nails. Nails will not feel brittle and less likely to crack. With Hard Gel, you can choose from a wider variety of nail art designs.

Zell-V, to Shine from within

I was so excited to embark on a journey with Zell-V. Having heard about the product when it was launched in 2007, the amazing health benefits for overall well being, made me more excited when Zell-V invited me to visit their office.

I had to do a cellular analysis first to gauge my current health condition with Steffanie who was the professional in this. She patiently explained to me the various types of results after the analysis and also the causes too. Pray hard I would not be in the worst case scenario.

Thank goodness, my cells looked healthy. Round and not sticky together. Except for a few radicals which resulted from stress, lack of sleep and Fried Food! No more french fries. Steffanie highlighted to me the radicals could spread quite rapidly resulting in health issues.
Here's a pic she was showing me on how a worst scenario would look like. All sticky and brownish. Eeks.
Receiving my one month supply from Kelvin and the good people in Zell-V. I will back after a month to blig about my wellness journey with Zell-V. Would love to share my testimonial with you.

It is truly a fuss free supplement. Just pop a gel capsule for a day. If you have prior health issues, best to consult your doctor first.

Chang Thai, the authentic Thai people

Scouring around Singapore for Thai food is such an easy feat but to locate an authentic one with reasonably prices is relatively hard.

Chang Thai is a quaint Thai eating place in Bishan opened since Jan 2014. Founded by three friends who share a common love for authentic Thai food. Together with Chef Alex from Thailand who had a bountiful 30 years of cooking experience. He is only 42 years old now!

The team strongly believed in using the freshest ingredients to maintain the quality of food. I was looking forward to try their food upon receiving the invite.

The 3 Musketeers; John, Mitsu and Ian
(from left to right) Chef Alex was camera shy.
A simple Beef Noodle soup made with love. The beef were soft and tender. They were not hard or chewy. The beef balls! Oh yes, I took the chance to take a bite. They had no smell, simply tasted so good. I am liking beef balls now!
A combi of prawn cake, fish cake, toufu and spring roll.

They were equally good. Freshly fried, did not feel oily at all!
Chef Alex added Tao Suan to the spring roll fillings. That makes it even crunchier! Yums.
Another delicacy. Honey-glaced Garlic Chicken. I love it at the first bite. Chicken pieces were tender. Honey and garlic was a great combination. Initially I thought thigh meat was used, hence for the tenderness. Chef Alex actually used Breast Meat! Oh wow that was amazing!
The Tom Yum seafood had just the right flavours. Not so spicy. Just felt like in Thailand now.
The Fried Basil Pork was so mouth watering. Couldn't stop eating once started.

Though I was already very full but how could I stop without trying their desserts!
Jackfruit slices were spotted on the Red Ruby. Surprisingly the jackfruit complements the rubies very well, not overpowering.
The rubies were crunchy and not starchy at all.
Mangoes used must be sweet or else they will not be served. That was how strict the bosses were on the quality of food. Fresh coconut milk was used for the Mango Sticky Rice. Slurps.
Using freshly brewed Green Tea to mix with milk. A refreshing drink on a hot, sweltering weather.

Burp! I was so stuffed but feeling satisfied. I wish I could eat more but next time then:-(

A quaint afternoon with The Buttered Cat

It is such a rare sight to find a cafe using vintage china bone ware in Singapore. So sad when Royal Copahagen exited this region.

The Buttered Cat was set up in 2014 by a couple who wanted an indie-themed cafe. Lady Boss, Itsoh is a baker herself.

See the collections of teapots. Order a pot of tea and they will be served in one of them.
The tiered trays are made in-house. Lovely wares.
One will feel so relaxed whilst in the cafe with friends or family.

Lady Boss Itsoh was sharing with me that she baked all the pastries herself. All pastry skin were hand rolled by her. All sausages used in the pies were made by her. No processed sausages were used. Amazing!
Bakes will be made daily to ensure their freshness.

From their regular menu they serve
- handmade puff pastry pies (chicken/tuna/sausage)
- choc cupcakes with salted caramel buttercream
- scones, raisin and plain
- Sugee cake slices
- various blends of tea (served by pot using tea leaves), coffee, latte, iced and hot chocolate.

Food items ranges $2.90-$3.50 per serving, beverage $3.90 upwards.

They occasionally have specials eg. Apple crumble pies, carrot cupcakes etc..  All made from their tiny kitchen.

A little tea party that I catered for a crowd of 18 on 22 June 2014. Friends were treated to the fresh bakes and free flow of coffee and tea. It was indeed a great catch up on a Sunday with fellow parents. We do need a break from parenthood sometimes.
